Maintenance Technician

McNally Industries, located in Grantsburg, is looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician.  The Lead Maintenance Technician will coordinate any Equipment Maintenance required.  And maintain the preventive maintenance program and perform actual maintenance by acting as a technician.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate in a busy task-oriented environment. Schedule and prioritize maintenance needs and ensure they are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with Production Management on issues regarding machine tool and facility activities, work area safety concerns and supply status.
  • Install, setup, maintain, diagnose and repair complex machine tools and equipment. Including researching and ordering of required parts.
  • Work with external service providers to obtain quotes and schedule services.
  • Maintain the machine tool preventive maintenance program. Work with Production Control personnel to minimize the impact to the production schedule.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/ Experience: High school graduate or equivalent required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • “Hands on” experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Ability to perform well in a heavy workload environment
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Become qualified in forklift and scissor lift operation
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening)
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups; team player
  • Maintain high work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft computer programs
